Iran’s first wildlife refuge

The first surrounded refuge for wildlife, measuring some 17.5 hectares, is located in the northcentral Alborz province.

Herbivores, including horses, goats, rams, sheep, deer, llamas, and Persian zebras, have been released in the protected area.
